Grades 4 & up

Jeremiah loves baseball. He loves it more than almost anything, even though he can’t play it anymore. So when he has a chance to move with his father to Hillcrest, Ohio, which is known for its love of baseball and an amazing winning high school team, he jumps at it. But things there aren’t quite what he expects. The middle school baseball team is almost non-existent because of issues with a former coach. Jer takes on the role of coach and is beginning to pull together a team when tragedy strikes the high school baseball team. Will the spirit of baseball win out? Can it pull the town together again? Jeremiah has provided again and again that he is no quitter, but this will take all of his inspirational speeches and more. A must read for baseball lovers everywhere. It made my heart soar. Highly recommended for grades 4 & up.
